Overthinking Things? Ways to Stop The Behavior




Ways to Stop Overthinking:



Repeat calming and peaceful words to yourself throughout your day.


Focus on the positive that is in your life.


Go outside and get some fresh air and vitamin D.


Journal your thoughts and then ask yourself what thoughts and views are irrational.

Take a walk.

Live in the here and now.

Have a calm and peaceful "go to' place in your mind....such as the beach.

Listen to uplifting and positive music. 

Let go of other people's negative comments.

Speak the truth. Know the truth. Live the truth.



Do what you can -with what you have- with where you are right now--------- then let go of what you do not have control over. 

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.Philippians 4:6-9
