How to Experience Peace

Our first reaction to conflict and fear is usually anxiety.

We rationalize that if we care about our problems and conflicts that we need to worry about them when this is not true.

Actually our best problem solving tactic can be to have inner peace. We are able to think more clearly when we have peace. This then allows us to be rational in what we need to do in conflict. This then allows us and to have further peace.

If we choose to worry and have anxiety then we are giving those power over us.

Choose instead to deep breath, demonstrate positive self-talk and to have peace.

Let go of what you do not have control of and take the first tiny step toward what is in your power to do.

Take a walk outside, call a friend, reach out to a Pastor, join a group for support, seek counseling, pray, watch a sunset, think positive thoughts, dream of a peaceful and safe place, relax, and..... choose to experience peace- with doing what you can with what you have with where you are right now- and let the rest go.

Regarding others and battles, choose them wisely. Sometimes it is necessary and smart to choose peace instead of being right.

Also, remember that you are always in control of how to your respond to others.

You can experience peace when you choose not to let another person or an event control you and your emotions.

Choose peace.
