Understanding Sexual Abuse- Victims Often React By Abusing As Well

Many victims of sexual abuse of any age can often result in the victims of abuse - abusing others. This is called reactive sexual abuse. Though the victims were angered and hurt by being sexually abuse themselves, they abuse others in the same manner sometimes.

It is often how a victim of sexual abuse deals with his own abuse.

Victims of sexual abuse often deny that they were even abused. This is due to the fact that they want their experience to remain private. Their experience is embarrassing and humiliating for them.

It could also be because they are afraid to tell others because they fear that their abuser will hurt them further.

Not all sexually abused victims abuse others. It is just important to know that it is possible.

Education and counseling can help someone who has been sexually abused.

If you or someone that you know has been sexually abused- please tell someone that you can trust and get professional help with counseling.
