Our Thoughts- They Affect Our Feelings and Our Behaviors!

One of the concepts that I try to covey to my clients is how important and influential our thoughts are.

When we think of ourselves or of our situations negatively or irrationally, then this negativity will fester and grow.

If we think positive and we think in a logical and mentally healthy manner, then we are better equipping ourselves and setting ourselves up for success!

I also tell my clients that it is okay to allow yourself a short time to feel crummy!

I tell them it is okay to stay in your jammies a day or two or more if needed and cry and whine and just have a pitty party or to grieve immensely.

HOWEVER, then get yourself up out of bed and talk to yourself in a POSITIVE manner over and over and over again -and talk to yourself logically and not irrationally!

Accept what is and what you cannot change and do what you can with what you have and with what you can change!

Thus, give yourself a time to grieve or to be sad- then pull up your boot straps and change your thought process to positive and watch your feelings, actions, and life be more positive as well!
