Guard Your Hearts- For Everything You Do Flows From It

It is important to always try to guard your heart and your mind. 

What does this mean exactly? 

Refrain from letting yourself be exposed to things that are not productive- not pure- not positive, and more!

Give careful thought to the paths of your feet and be steadfast in all of your ways.

Surround yourself with uplifting, positive, and like- minded people, sounds, sights, interactions, etc.

This will help you to guard yourself from thoughts and actions that are not conducive to the way that you are seeking to live and will help to keep you accountable.

Avoiding anger, pride, and temptation are also critical aspects of guarding our hearts.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Philippians 4:8). 

Dwelling on these things will help to build a guard fence around your hearts.
