Instead of Focusing On The Negative- PRAY!

Are you sad? Are you angry? Are you upset? Are you grieving? Are you lonely?

Do you find that you are focusing on the negative aspects of life?

One thing that you can do is to use your time and mental energy to PRAY!

Pray for others.
Pray for the Lord to help you to use what you have been through to help others.
Pray for growth and wisdom.

Use this time to strengthen your relationship with God.

Happiness is Not About Having Problems- It Is being Able to Cope With Them!

I think that most of us tend to believe that being happy means that we are free from problems and worry. We think... if only I could get rid of this problem or that problem, I would be happy for once!

The truth is that we will always have struggles. Our attitude that we take when we try and cope with our problems is what can actually make us happy. We can choose to have joy in all circumstances. We can choose to be happy and also choose to have a positive and rational attitude when facing adversity.

We can do the best that we can- with where we are- with what we have.......... and then let go of what we have no control over!

Romans 5:3-5 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Do Not Judge Others- Get To Know Them!

Have you ever judged another person based on their appearance to find out that you were way off on your thinking!

I sure have!

Have you ever based your opinions based on what other people have said about someone? I am sure that most of use have done this as well.

I want to encourage you to try and not be judgemental regarding others and to take the time to get to know someone.

Base your opinion on others based on what you think after you have spent time with them and have a chance to see their character and their spirit! People may surprise you!

Understanding Panic Attacks & Free Support Groups

Symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks usually begin abruptly and include the following:
§  rapid heartbeat,
§  chest sensations,
§  dizziness,
§  tingling,
§  severe anxiousness.

A theory of anxiety and panic disorder is that it is the body's normal "alarm system."  It is mental and physical mechanisms that allows an individual to respond to a threat and it also tends to be triggered unnecessarily when there is no danger.

Studies show us that counseling alone or with the combination of medication and counseling treatment are more effective than medication alone in the long-term management of anxiety and panic attacks.

In getting help with anxiety, cognitive behavioral therapy is widely used in counseling for both adults and children.

This form of therapy seeks to help those with panic disorder identify and decrease the irrational thoughts and behaviors that reinforce panic and anxiety symptoms.

This can be administered either individually or in group therapy (Medicine net.com, 2015).
