Keep It Simple & Live BIG!

The Simple Life- Less is More

My Aunt Judy lived in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. She lived in a small log cabin on a mountain. She grew her own vegetables and made her own bread.

She played the dulcimer, taught dulcimer lessons, and wrote music.

She sang like an angel.

She lived life passionately.

She was REAL.

More than anything, she lived a simple life while living BIG.

 She was authentic.

She didn't concern herself about what others thought about her.

When I visited her in Arkansas for the last time as she was gravely ill, her last words to me were to "Live Big and Keep it Simple".

So, I pass these wise words along to you!
                In memory of my
                loving Aunt Judy

Saying Goodbye - Easing The Pain

Having to say goodbye in life is not easy.

Whether it is due to death, relationships ending, moves, etc., saying good bye can be very emotionally painful.

I have had friendships end that I never dreamed would end. I lost my mother to cancer while still in my 20's. I have suffered 5 miscarriages and had an infant daughter pass away after an hour.

These good byes were heart breaking.

Life is full of changes and good byes.

When my mother was dying, she told me that she would be in my heart forever- and she is. She is a voice in my head when I think about decisions and she is a melody that sings in my heart every day.

Even though we have to say good bye to others, we can hold the good times and the precious memories in our hearts and minds forever.

We can be thankful that we had the life experiences and the time with people that we had to say good bye to.

We also can entrust our emotional pain as well as those we had to say good bye to ..........to our Lord and Savior.

If we make Christ our lifeline and our greatest desire, it makes saying god bye a lot easier.

Further, God can bring good out of all circumstances to those who love Him and follow Him.

While it is difficult for us to understand- having to say goodbye, we can go to Him with our pain.

We hurt and we grieve but God heals our pain.

Seek Him in your pain.

The Art of Saying No

The Art Of Saying NO Gracefully

Why do we have problems saying no to people?

Usually it is because..... we want to please others,

we do not want to disappoint others,

we want to be liked by others,

we want to avoid conflict,

and so on.

So, what is needed to say no to people and things that we do not really want to say yes to?

We simply draw a boundary line and make our no be no, not a maybe.

But first, it is helpful to write down and think about the reasons that you want to say no.

If it is for good and healthy reasons, say no without feeling like you need to justify yourself. Hold your head high and be confident in yourself and just say no politely. You will be respected and admired instead of being looked at in other ways that you may fear.

Remember that you are in charge of your own life and how you spend your time.

BE YOUrself!

You are Worthy!

A safe place to heal.

Be a HOPE CHANGER in your own life and in the lives of others!

Hidden Treasures In Slices Of Life

Hidden Treasures

I believe that there are slices of life that are hidden treasures for all of us.

What is important and what truly brings us joy are often hidden treasures.

Can you think of slices of life in your life that are hidden treasures?

What are they?

They can be blessings in disguise, situations of delayed gratification, understanding some "Why's" and "How's" farther along, paying more attention to what matters most, a friendly smile from someone when you least expect it, etc.

Please write below some hidden treasures in life that you can think of!

You are Worthy!
