Grace to Survive Our Failures

When God saved us, He justified us and sanctified us.  But He let us struggle with sin for our remaining days on this earth.  He knows knows the terrible sin that remains within each one of us.

We sinful Christians are often quick to go to God to ask Him for the grace, power and strength to overcome temptation and sin.

But many times we still succumb to temptation and sin.

We’re left feeling defeated, perhaps shocked by our sin, even convinced that we’ve failed God and that He must be severely disappointed in us.

We might feel that way because we simply don't understand the magnitude of the sin that remains in our lives.

Instead of feeling defeated when we sin, perhaps we should be asking for the grace to survive our failures and to find joy and delight in the Lord in spite of our failed efforts.
