Mental Health Benefits of Eating Real Foods

Eating a diet high in fruit, vegetables, nuts, lean meats, whole grains, and fish is helpful in cutting depression by up to 11 percent.

Researchers found that the diet helped to improve people's mental health and give them a boost in energy.  It also reduced blood pressure and helped people to lose weight.

In contrast, the Western diet is high in sugar and processed foods and is thought to contribute to mental health disorders, weight gain, and various other health problems.
